Bone Spur

Migraine Headache

Multiple chemical sensitivities

Dr Ling has been my Acupuncturist for over 10 years.  I have an illness known as MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities).  I am severely allergic to many chemicals and almost all medications.  My reactions at times can be very severe even Life threatening.  There is nothing that conventional medicine can do for me.  

                If it was not for Dr. Ling’s treatments, I am not sure I would be here now.  His treatment has allowed me to make steady improvements.  His needles have balanced out my body to help it start healing.  His needles have helped my digestion so that I have regained the ability to eat a variety of foods.  For a long while, I could only eat baby food.  His needles have also helped me deal with the muscle spasms and pain involved with my illness.  I am very grateful for your treatment and will continue coming to you as well as sending anyone who is in need of treatment.                                                              Sincerely yours,  J.L. Dental Surgery

On Oct. 30, 1998 Dr. C. Solano (oral surgeon), through a referral from Dr. Jack Ferguson DDS, a dentist that works with MCS patients, agreed to pull a lower molar that had abscessed.  Dr. Ling used Acupuncture to deaden the area.  Allowing me to have the tooth pulled without anesthetic that could have made me seriously ill. 

The needles made me so relaxed I was almost asleep in the chair.  Although there was some pain when the tooth came out, it was not much worse than when I had a local anesthetic for a wisdom tooth 20 years ago.  Also the needles continued to work and I was almost pain free for 2 to 3 days following the surgery.  But best of all, I had no setbacks in my health.         Thank you and best wished, L.L. Back pain after surgery

In 1992, I had surgery on my back for a ruptured disk in the L4-L5 region.  The surgery helped me to some degree but left me having severe muscle spasms so severe that I had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance and given large doses of pain shots and muscle relaxers.  This would happen 2 to 3 times a year.  A friend of the family told me about you.  So in 1995, I went to your office and explained my problem to you.  The reason I’m writing this letter is to let you know that it has not been 2 years almost 3 year since your treatment and I have not has the first muscle spasm nor have I been back to the hospital for problems with my back.  I am so very grateful to you for giving me back my life.  For year I was so afraid to go anywhere in public for fear of my back problem.  Now I am a correctional officer at a penatenuary.  I tell everyone about what you have done for me and I just thought u should take the time to tell the right person and to thank you so much.  God bless you and keep up the good work.                                               Sincerely, L.R. Quit/Stop Smoking

Alcohol dependency

I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 12, 1934.  I married a man when I was 18 who came from a family where the men drank in the evenings.  He was 12 and had a good job here in Houston.  I came from a family of drunks on my mother’s side of the family.  We had a boy when I was 20 years and a girl at 21 years.  I had never had any alcohol until I was 25 years old.   We bought our first house in a new neighborhood of all young couples like ourselves.  We started having parties and that’s where I learned to drink.  We kept on partying and drinking more in this neighborhood.  In 1973 at age 39 years old, I went to work.  My husband was drinking a lot more.  Our kids had gone away.  We sold our house of 20 years and bought a town-house.  I never drank in the day-time but he did.  He kept losing his jobs.  I would have drinks when I came home from work and on the weekends.  He drank all the time.  Finally in February 1980 he couldn’t face working anymore.  He moved back to Oklahoma City to live with his mother who was alone now.  I stayed here and worked harder and drank more.  I was having some drinks every night.  In September 1981 he died of liver disease in Oklahoma.  In January 1983 I married Bob, the man I’m married to now.  He has never drunk at all but he didn’t care if I did.   I drank one pint of scotch by myself.  I know I must have a problem when my Doctor said I had an enlarged liver.  I came to you to get acupuncture because of a friend.  You treated me on February 19, 1999 and I have not had one drink since.  I, of course am very grateful for your treatment and knowledge.

Injury/Weigh control

I sure hope this note finds you well and happy.  I saw this little cartoon and just had to make a copy for you.  I’m feeling so good these days.  I educated myself about sodium, cut out as much as I can and dropped 25 LBs of fluid in about a month.  Wish I could do as well with calories and fat!  I continue to be grateful to you for the care yyou gave me that kept me out of a wheelchair and able to continue working.  I was looking at being disabled but you gave me time to keep searching for the answers.  When I come to Houston during your office hours, I’m going to drop in for a quick visit so you can see how much better I am.  Until then, take good care of yourself and I’ll continue sending people your  way.     With much gratitude,                                                                                               C.V.  TX 2002

Spinal sternosis, lower back pain and insomnia

I would like to thank you for seeing me as a patient.   Since I started your acupuncture treatments in my back, I  had better results than conventional medicine and epidural blacks

I had a disc removed in my neck (between c5/c6) and spinal sternosis in my lower back.  (1992)

Bell’s palsy

Once again, I would like to thank you for all you have done for me.  You have help me tremendously with my Bell’s Palsy when the doctors on my HMO could not.  You have helped me with my frozen right shoulder, something that is related to my work being a U.S. Postal employee and because of you, I no longer have problem.  You have helped me with my right foot when the podiatrist in my HMO could not.  I no longer have any pain in my foot.    You also help to relieve the pain in my right knee, the pills that the doctor in my HMO were simply not working.  As for my back pain what can I say, when I am in pain, I take the medications that my doctor prescribed, Naproxen 500 mg, but after your treatments, I feel better and the relief has lasted much longer.  Without you, all I would be doing is popping pills and doing fruitless physical therapy with little result.  As for me and my physical problems only acupuncture has help me and once again I thank you for that.  Take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you soon.      Sincerely yours,
